Kingussie. in the
diocese of Argyll and the Isles The church was built in 1932 and
serves, as well as Kingussie,  the villages of Newtonmore, Dalwhinnie and
Lagan. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The gaelic name for
Kingussie: Ceann a Ghuibhsaich means the End of the Pine Forest. Kingusssie
also prides itself on being the Capital of Badenoch the district comprising the
Upper Spey Valley.  Newtonmore; Gaelic Baile Ur an-t-Sleibh is a flourishing
village and the gateway to the Cairngorm National Park. Dalwhinnie
(DailChuinnidh:Place of Meeting) is in the mountains to the South and Laggan
(Lagan: Little Hollow) lies on the beautful road between Newtonmore and Spean
Bridge.
